COMPANY HISTORY
Karma Creative
had its beginnings in the radio industry. In
the mid-1980's, we established our
business by writing, producing, and performing commercials, station promos, comedy bits, and
parody songs for morning shows. We began in Phoenix (KZZP) and Los Angeles
(KROQ, Pirate Radio), and soon our work was heard on
nationally syndicated radio programs (Dr. Demento),
comedy services (Dr. Dave), and radio networks
(Premiere Radio Networks).
By 1993, we had
expanded our services into television, creating copy
and directing talent for network voice-overs
(FOX-TV), on-air promos (Nick At Nite), and
celebrity interview segments (TVLand, NBC's Must See
TV).
Our team also wrote, performed, and
produced jingles and parody songs for network promo
spots (NBC's "Johnny Chimes," CBS,
MTV, Warner Brothers), live corporate presentations
(NBC's Up-Front), and slogans for marketing
campaigns (Fox Family Channel), earning a number of
industry awards along the way (Promax Gold Medallion
Award, Broadcast Design Award). In the 1990's, our company
went by the name creativeking.com.
By 1997, we had
branched out into a number of new fields. We began developing and designing theme park
attractions, providing creative writing, branding,
and performance
services for a variety of rides, restaurants, and
retail facilities (Walt Disney Imagineering's
"California Adventure," DisneyWorld, Animal
Kingdom). We were also hired to write copy for
toymakers (Hobbico, Quest), technology companies
(TiVo), and game shows (Singled Out, "Star Trek"
Trivia Challenge). We created music
for children's programs (Nickelodeon, ABC/Disney's
"House Of Mouse"), comedy albums ("The Star Wars
Cantina," KROQ Christmas albums), and even a
national touring lounge act ("Richard Cheese"). And, we were called upon by the White House to write
comedic remarks for President Clinton.
With the new
millennium, we had a new company name and a new focus.
Karma Creative
now offers its services exclusively to those
clients who exemplify the progressive values that
must be a priority in today's world. We want
to contribute our creativity to the causes of peace,
freedom, education, conservation, health, safety,
security, justice, and human rights. While these may
seem like lofty ideals, we have found that
there are plenty of noble clients who are pursuing
these important objectives, and we're here to help.

OUR CREATIVE COMMITMENT TO
THE ENVIRONMENT
At
Karma Creative,
we have designed our business operations to reflect
our sincere commitment to the environment.
We recycle. We
conserve. We "tread lightly upon this Earth."
All of our proposals, project write-ups, and
invoices are sent via email; paper products are used
only when absolutely necessary.
We use digital
recording for our multimedia projects, which
are delivered electronically using the internet,
FTP, and email. This saves studio energy and
eliminates the use of CDs, tape reels, boxes,
envelopes, and messengers.
To further reduce pollution,
we limit driving by conducting client meetings
through teleconferencing and email.
And, for our offices,
we choose "green power" from our local utility.
We invite you to
contact us if you have any questions or
suggestions about our green policy.

WHAT IS "KARMA"?
The word
Karma comes from
the philosophical teachings of Buddhism, and
pertains to the ethical choices one makes each
moment in everyday life. In general terms, the law of
karma says that for every event which occurs, there
will follow another event which was caused by the
first, and this second event will be positive or
negative, depending on whether the first event was
positive or negative. In other words, if
something good happens to you, it's probably because
you did something good in the first place.
We chose to name our
company
Karma Creative
because we want to help our clients do good, which
in turn does good for their customers, the world,
and life itself. Not bad, huh?

Here is a link to
a humorous short film called
"Karma Ghost" which illustrates good and bad Karma.
